Submit Proposal

For 2025 we are leveraging Sched to submit presentation proposals. Applicants will have to create or use an existing Sched account.  A Sched account is completely separate from your NWGIS account. If you are creating an account we recommend waiting until you get your account confirmation email from Sched before proceeding with your proposal submission.

If your presentation is approved you will receive a confirmation email. NWGIS may need up to 10 days to review and approve presentations. Once onboarded, speakers will have the ability to update their presentations, load documents (if desired), and soon message attendees registering to attend your session. Presentation scheduling will be refined later in the summer into appropriate presentation tracks.

Whether you are a student or experienced professional, we are interested in hearing from you. Each year, we accept a range of topics broadly related to GIS.  If you need a suggestion or idea for your presentation, here are some of the up-voted topics from our recent conference interest survey (but please do not feel limited to this list):

Topic Ideas

  • ArcGIS Pro
  • ArcGIS Enterprise / Portal
  • Arcade/Python
  • Analysis / Modeling
  • Mobile Apps and Web Apps
  • There has also been a vocalized interest in work related to drones and imagery, AI, big data, governance, and open source GIS.  T

Why Present?

  • Share your success stories for others to learn from.
  • Share your failure stories for others to learn from.  These are important, too!
  • Teach others the 'Tips and Tricks' you've learned.
  • Professional development.
  • Practice communication and public speaking skills.
  • Start the discussion around your topic at the conference.
  • Presenters will get a free year membership to NWGIS ($25 value) after the conference.

Guidelines

  • Presentations will be held live in Boise, ID.  We will not be hosting virtual sessions.
  • Presenters must register for the conference if they plan on participating in any other aspects of the conference beyond their own presentations.
  • Exhibitors can submit to present. A vendor presentation at a conference should not be a direct sales pitch. Instead, it should focus on providing valuable information, insights, and thought leadership to the audience.
