This document serves to provide an understanding of how your personal data is leveraged. The Northwest GIS User Group takes reasonable measures to protect personal data but can make no guarantees. Our website vendor provides high quality security to prevent malicious attempts to collect contact information.
The Northwest GIS User Group collects contact information to aid with member communication and may collect additional information with the intention of improving experiences at events and gatherings (i.e. dietary preferences, correspondence preferences, etc). Names, organizations, job titles, phone number, and email of event attendees are shared with exhibitors and sponsors at conferences and events if the attendee consents to sharing their information. When signing up for an event an attendee can choose whether or not to share information. At any time, the attendee can contact NWGIS to adjust that choice.
Organizations or individuals registering guests, or serving as a proxy, are authorizing consent on behalf of the individuals they are signing up. Third-parties The Northwest GIS User Group shares the contact name, job title, organization, email, and phone number of event attendees with event exhibitors and sponsors with the consent of the attendee. This information is used by vendors for marketing their products and services.
You can review and update your account information by logging into your NWGIS account settings.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on our website. By using NWGIS services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
